// DUPE ALERT//

So, I have been a long time fan of Deborah Lippmann’s Some Enchanted Evening.

It is always my go to when I want to take a nude nail up a notch with some sparkle. This and Sephora by OPI Traffic Stopper Copper are my go to sparkles every time.

So, the other day in Target I spied one of Essie’s Luxe Effects in A Cut Above.

Another fantastic pink sparkle! Lo and behold when I went to do my nails tonight, I reached for the two of them and they are exactly the same!

Now, in pictures A Cut Above definitely looks more pink-purple while Some Enchanted Evening looks closer to a true pink, but in person they are one in the same.

Had I not bought Some Enchanted Evening in a set at Nordstrom maybe a year ago, I would return it and only use A Cut Above. Instead I’ll be heading back to Target and exchanging the Essie bottle for another coral color, most likely.

I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF CORAL NAIL POLISH!

If someone were to ever ask me “Who would you have dinner with, alive or dead?” I would always pick Lucille Ball.
She was brave and one of a kind. She was in an inter-racial marriage before they were approved. She was a female comedian, who did all of her own stunts, before there was anyone else. And, the very least, she was beautiful.
I’ve always had an obsession with red hear - probably because my mom is ginger and so is my idol, Lucille, but seeing this picture of her as a brunette (maybe a wig) came as a great source of inspiration!
She is definitely a classic beauty!

Pretty Colors is my absolute favorite blog to draw color inspiration from.
They have so many colors and tell you the color value so you can always return to it.
I think it’s a tumblr definitely worth checking out!

Good morning!
As I was sitting here reading through blogs, and listening to “What’s In My Bag” videos on YouTube in the background, I thought I would do my own!
So this is What Is In My Bag Spring Edition
1. My Long Champ Pilage Large bag that I love because it holds so much, but remains light weight.
2. My car keys that also hold my Olloclip, which is an all-in-one iPhone camera lens.
3&4. My work shirt (the blue one) and the shirt I was wearing under that. I had to change into a different work shirt because of a workshop I was apart of. I was not getting naked at work.
5. My Kindle. I really love the color of my case!
6. Essie nail polish in Camera. I saw this color online and instantly fell in love with it! I wasn’t able to find it and my friend Sofia randomly saw it and picked it up for me!
7. My Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses. Same as always.
8. My Paul Frank “Nerd” bag filled with lady items if you know what I mean.
9. Marc by Marc Jacobs wallet. I love this wallet so much!!
10. The yellow thing is where I keep my business cards. My work supplies us with them, but we don’t have space to keep them at work, so it’s what I carry my back up supplies in.
11. The small coral rectangle is my pocket wallet. It has my drivers license, my debit card, my Disneyland pass and my Starbucks card.
12. A whole mess of pens. I practically hoard pens because they are pretty much gold at work.
13. Two styluses, styl-i ( I have no clue what the plural form of stylus is) that I pull out at work to show customers from time to time.
14. Chanel lip balm. I really like it, super light weight and a nice on the go moisturizer for my lips.
15. A tangled mess of Apple Earbuds and an Apple 30-pin to USB cable - to charge my phone on the go.
16. Crumpled receipts an an empty Apple gift card.

So, what’s in your bag?

APRIL FAVORITES Y’ALL!!

Surprisingly a lot of Benefit.

1. MAC Fix+ I’ve been loving this so much for so many reasons. One, because it makes my makeup last for ever! Even longer than Urban Decay All Nighter Spray. Two, it just makes my makeup look so natural, not powdery at all, and three, it really helps refresh my makeup when I come home after work and plan on going out.

2. Benefit Cosmetics Sugarbomb Box O’ Powder Ever since the weather has become very spring/summery I’ve been loving this. It brings a lovely flush to my just-beginning-to-get-color skin, and the slight shimmer in it lets me cut down on products because I don’t have to apply a highlighter.

3. Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Box O’ Powder With all of the shimmer that Sugarbomb has this matte bronzer complements it so well. Plus it looks so natural and isn’t giving me a gross fake bake color, but just a nice glow.

4. Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki This has been my favorite go to brush for putting on any foundation or tinted moisturizer. I still really like the F82 Angled Kabuki, but this has just been amazing.

5. Benefit BADgal Lash This has always been one of my favorite mascaras, but I stopped using it for a while because of less expensive drug store options that work just as well. The other day while in Sephora I picked up this travel sized one. One this about this mascara is for some reason I have always loved it in travel size way more than full size. I have no idea why. So I picked it up and fell back in love all over again.

6. MAC Select Sheer Pressed Powder I know, it’s in the MAC + Hello Kitty collection compact (that is beyond beat up) I just changed out the powders be de-potting them. I’m never throwing away the Hello Kitty compact. Anyway, I really like this as a setting powder. It adds just a bit more coverage and with the help of Fix+ it lasts practically all day!

Nail Polish of the Week: OPI Steady As She Rose
I muted, dusty pinky purple. Very pale, similar to Essie’s Lilacism.
Very much a Spring color, could definitely be used during the fall and winter too.

Excuses.

It’s really all that I have for you.

I have not posted in months. Months.

If I haven’t had the time to do this in forever, what makes me have time now?

Well, to be completely honest, I just saw the biggest freaking spider of my life and killed it.

It was FEET away from my pillow. So, really, I’m not sleeping tonight.

But, also, I’ve really wanted to start doing this again. I miss it. I had fun. I miss all of you!

So here I am. Doing this again. Bear with me, as I manage life, work, school, friends, a boyfriend and mental break downs from time to time.

But, I’m sure you know exactly what I mean.

This week’s nail polish: Essie St. Lucia Lilac
The weather has been 100% amazing this last two weeks and it’s got me itching for spring and summer and most of all color! But, of course I can’t go full out with brights on my nails so I want some color with a bit of dust.
With last week’s Orly Nite Owl, a dusty light brown, and now St. Lucia Lilac, wich is a dusty lavender.

What nail polish are you wearing this week?

Makeup Wants and Needs. Not that I really need makeup, I just like it I guess.
